Member Letter from Cathy Ann Stacey, Chair HealthTrust Board of Directors

Dear HealthTrust Member,

At the beginning of this year, I became Chairperson of HealthTrust’s Board of Directors. As a long-term board member, it is an honor to now serve in this role. My focus moving forward will be on setting the strategic path to fulfilling HealthTrust’s vision: New Hampshire communities’ most trusted partner in achieving optimum health through a culture of wellness.

Since January, HealthTrust has experienced several exciting developments. We’ve made great progress in strategic planning and program innovation, and recently strengthened our FSA program and added an exciting new product to our telemedicine offering. These changes will help our medically covered individuals save time and contain costs as we move into the future.

The most exciting development begins July 1, 2016 when HealthTrust will welcome its new Executive Director. I am delighted to inform you the HealthTrust board has named Wendy Lee Parker as the new Executive Director of HealthTrust.

As you may know, in September 2015, the HealthTrust board began a national, comprehensive search for a new executive director. We sought a candidate who has

substantial experience and knowledge in health coverage and risk pooling necessary to lead HealthTrust into the future. The process was conducted by an executive search committee comprised of HealthTrust board members, which worked with a recruiting agency to select several qualified candidates from around the country. The HealthTrust board’s evaluation process and final selection included input from HealthTrust managers and staff.

With 26 years of experience with HealthTrust and in the risk pool industry, Wendy is best suited to lead HealthTrust into the future. She has expertise in national pooling and in New Hampshire risk pools. Her talent in innovative plan design, her unwavering commitment to Member service and the trust and familiarity of HealthTrust Members, board, and staff make Wendy the natural choice.

She has held a number of positions of increasing responsibility at HealthTrust including Chief Operating Officer, and Strategic and Operational Advisor. As HealthTrust’s Executive

Director, Wendy will lead and enhance HealthTrust programs and services. She will help the organization and its Members navigate the complex and ever-changing healthcare

environment through innovation and relationship building. Wendy will continue and build upon HealthTrust’s legacy of exceptional service to Members, enrollees, retirees, and covered family members.

Wendy has resigned her position as Executive Director of Property-Liability Trust, Inc. effective June 2, 2016. She will assume the role of HealthTrust’s Executive Director on July 1, 2016. After June 30, 2016, Wendy will work exclusively as HealthTrust’s Executive Director.

On behalf of the HealthTrust Board of Directors, I would also like to thank David Frydman for serving as Interim Executive Director for the past eight months while retaining his

position as HealthTrust’s General Counsel. David’s steady presence and collaborative leadership has pushed several strategic initiatives forward and has positioned the organization for the future. The HealthTrust board is grateful to David for his remarkable service. He will return to his role as General Counsel for HealthTrust, assisting Wendy in her new role.
