Wellness Coordinator

HealthTrust seeks an enthusiastic team player who has a passion for wellness! This position promotes and serves HealthTrust’s Members and individual enrollees on various wellness and disease management programs. In this role, you’ll provide on-site and virtual wellness consulting along with extensive service elements related to health and wellness through contact with local government officials and employees. This position is responsible for supporting Members in a designated territory within the State of New Hampshire. The Wellness Coordinator:
- Identifies specific needs of Members in order to develop and promote healthy work environments
- Plans, coordinates and presents virtual and in-person workshops and webinars
- Monitors, motivates and trains the team of Wellness Advisors in a mentoring capacity
- Encourages safe and healthy lifestyles and work patterns among Member’s employees
- Evaluates workplace wellness programs, reviews policies and procedures, and participates in Member wellness committees
- Analyzes medical claims and program data to identify trends and make recommendations on wellness programs targeting high cost and chronic conditions
- Designs and implements programs, services and workshops to meet identified needs
- Coordinates the Wellness Coordinator Academy including programming, material, and curriculum. Plans and presents the Coordinator workshops, updates the Wellness Coordinator portal and provides direction and leadership for the program.
The Wellness Coordinator consults with Members, including elected officials, labor, and management. The Wellness Coordinator designs and presents health and wellness educational programs and services and as such, the ideal candidate should be a comfortable and confident public speaker. A strong background in Health Management is required, and experience working with municipalities and/or schools is highly desirable. Must have related degree, be people-oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills, and be committed to working as part of a team to service our members.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (preferably with a concentration in health and wellness education or related field) or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior work experience of at least four years in a responsible position involving health and wellness education. Captivating presentation skills are highly desired.
