Prerequisite: Principles of Employment Law
Participants will learn to identify personal biases and understand the various dimensions of diversity and the effects of discrimination on the workplace and community. Topics covered will include cultural diversity, learning style differences, preventing sexual harassment and other forms of discrimination, and affirmative action planning. Focus will be placed on analysis of personal communication style differences, communication style recognition exercises, the five key elements of good communication and tips on informing boards/committees and citizens.
