Benefits Account Manager
BENEFITS ACCOUNT MANAGER
HealthTrust seeks an enthusiastic team player to deliver exceptional service to Member Groups and covered individuals regarding various employee benefit programs and options. This position is responsible for all aspects of account management for a designated territory within the State of New Hampshire, requiring in-state travel. This position provides consulting along with extensive service elements related to employee benefits through contact with local government officials and employees to:
- Work closely with Members to identify specific needs and to propose cost-effective, high quality employee benefits and coverage options
- Educate Members and their employees about their benefit options so that employees understand and utilize all of their benefits
- Prepare and review reporting with Members to help them understand cost drivers and utilization impacts
- Provide overall highly responsive account management to ensure that Members receive timely and high quality service
- Responsible for extensive on-site and virtual visits within NH, written and telephonic responses to inquiries, and presentation of informational and educational sessions to Member Groups, covered individuals, union groups, and at other association or conference events.
The position requires broad knowledge of employee benefits including Health, Dental, Life, Long-Term and Short-term Disability, Flexible Spending Accounts, and Health Reimbursement Accounts. The ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally is essential. Experience with developing and delivering effective presentations is a core requirement of this position and as such, the ideal candidate should be a comfortable and confident public speaker. Expertise in Microsoft Office products, in particular Word and Excel is also required.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (preferably with a focus on communications, business, public administration, or a health management related field) or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior work experience of at least five years in a responsible position involving employee benefits or human resources is preferred. Salary: $54,200-$70,450
